About the Delivery Speed dashboards
The Delivery Speed dashboards display delivery speed performance, measuring the average number of days between when a package is shipped and when it is delivered. They provide insight into delivery performance to explore trends and identify potential areas for improvement. Key breakdowns include carriers, service methods, and locations.
There are two Delivery Speed dashboards:
- Delivery Speed | Ship-to-Deliver. This dashboard displays the ship-to-deliver metric, with breakdowns by origin, destination, carrier, carrier type (national vs. regional), service method, and service method type (standard vs. expedited).
- Delivery Speed Data Export. This data table allows filtering by carrier, carrier type, carrier service method, service level type, origin state, destination state, and volume of labels for delivered shipments. You can export filtered data to a CSV file.

Delivery Speed | Ship-to-Deliver

For each filter, this dashboard provides the following reports:

- Percent of Packages Delivered Over Time

You can also click on specific visuals (e.g., Ship-to-Deliver by Carrier Over Time) to filter the rest of the dashboard accordingly. For each filter, this dashboard provides the ship-to-deliver metric over time.
Delivery Speed Data Export
As with the Delivery Speed | Ship-to-Deliver Dashboard, you can adjust the reporting dates in the top-right corner and apply filters via the drop-downs across the top of the dashboard.
Then you can export the data table as a CSV or Excel file, with the following restrictions:
- Domo only supports exporting one million rows at a time.
- Data is not available at the shipment ID level.
Default settings
Each dashboard defaults to a label creation period of the last seven weeks, grouped by week. You can adjust the time period filter for any period after 1/1/2023.
Other filters available include carrier, carrier type, carrier service method, service level type, origin state, and destination state.
Metrics
The following metrics are provided for the Delivery Speed dashboards:
- Ship-to-Deliver. Calculated as the time difference in days between the estimated ship date and the actual delivery date for shipments; all date and time fields are stored and processed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to ensure consistency across time zones.
- Percentage of Packages Delivered. Calculated as the number of packages delivered divided by the number of labels generated.
Data nuances
The following data nuances apply to the Delivery Speed dashboards:
- All visuals are based on the label creation date.
- Only delivered shipments are included in the Delivery Speed calculation.
- Data is available starting from January 1, 2023.
